had a lovely few days away,went to coombe martin near Ilfracombe,apart from the hills .it was very warm ,we took the dog so we were bit restricted were we went,long drive down.went to chambercombe manor in ilfracombe it one time was the property of Henry duke of Suffolk father of lady Jane grey manor dates back to 1162,in there are secret chamber that house a skeleton and a smugglers passage its reputedly one of the most haunted dwellings in the uk.visitors have witnessed host of phenomena which cannot accounted for.the swinging of a clock pendulum without its weights,spinning of curtain poles.visitors have reported of the feeling of being watched or touched by ghost .could not go into the house has we had the dog could walk around the stunning gardens which i loved ,then we had a cream tea,lovely,the guide man said they have had paranormal groups in,one lady said that there was a young girl in the manor walking around,the owner look her up and did find that she died in there.not a big manor but i did enjoy looking around,lovely to get away.xx
