I know jesus want me to be a nun because i feel it. I know this is what i want. Do you think its to late if i follow my heart? (Dugo ang ilong ko) Dec 25,2013 Hello Harlene, I’m sorry to hear that your mother is sick, but it is good that your are there to care for her. At age 26, it is not too late to think about religious life. Some congregations accept women who are in their 40s and 50s! Each congregation addresses the issue of age differently, so you would need to talk with a congregation you’re interested in joining to see how they regard the age question. It sounds like you are the main caregiver for your mother, and that there is no one else to do this. Caring for others is a way to serve God, and it appears that God has called you to be a caregiver at this time in your life. God is a great mystery, and we have to trust that God will guide us and help us in whatever we do, even if we long to do something else. Keep praying and keep growing in your relationship with God. At age 26, there is still the possibility of religious life for several more years, so be patient with God. I will keep you in my prayers as you continue to discern God’s calling in your life. Blessings, Sister Maxine A Nun’s Life Ministry aNunsLife.org
