has to admit that, for $2.99, this special limited-time-only holiday bundle of 20 horror novels is kind of insanely bargain-tastic. Not only do you get David J. Schows THE KILL RIFF, John Farris THE FURY (on which DePalmas film is based), and my own little splatterpunk starter kit THE LIGHT AT THE END (with Spector), but a cavalcade of spooky riches from Hugh B. Cave, Tom Piccirilli, Elizabeth Massie, Yvonne Navarro, Steve Rasnic Tem, Melanie Tem, and on and on and on. On the weird side, this feels like winding up in one of those SPOOKY THRILLERS Bargain DVD packs at Rite-Aid, where you get 50 low-res movies for $5.99. But Im pretty sure all of these will read just fine. Budget-minded horror shoppers, check it out!
