have a nice new bass line i wrote, but have no drum recordings i can put it with. looks like im going to have to go electronic to get this idea out. i like bass sometimes in lieu of the 6-string (when i say 6-string im referring to regular guitars in general) because i feel like i can wrote more melodic stuff on the bass...build a foundation and melody on the bass and do the rhythm and lead with the guitar. its a nice change of pace for writing/composing for me anyway because it evokes a different musical element within me i guess. i just hate not having a large enough apartment to set up a kit. itd take me 10 minutes to lay down the drum track for my idea, where in using a computer program to program each kick, snare hit, etc, its hours of effort for just the drums alone. meh, one way or another, its gotta come out though. /rant what instruments do you write the most music on? i know this is guitar players on facebook group, but i see many multi-instrumentalists here. :)
