he European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (the EBRD) is working with the Tajik Government through the State Unitary Enterprise “Khojagii Manzili Kommunali”, and alongside donors including the Government of Switzerland and the Global Environment Facility’s Special Climate Change Fund, to develop investment projects in the Cities of Karaikkum, Kanibadam, Isfara, Gaufurov, Istiqlol, Chkalovsk and Khorog. These investment operations are being complimented by technical cooperation assignments funded by the EBRD’s Water Fund and Shareholder Special Fund, plus the Government of Switzerland. This Stakeholder Participation Programme specifically is being financed with resources provided by the EBRD’s Early Transition Countries Multi Donor Account.
