heads held high, gentlemen....tonight I watched the end of a football season that was predicted to end weeks ago. The 2014 Crusaders were supposed to go 5-5 at best - and there was no way they would win the TVL. They didnt have the size, the speed, the athleticism...the depth. What they had, though....was unity. they were twenty-some young men who, between the whistles played like a singe unit - each one firing off at the exact moment of prime efficiency. They were twenty-some young men who played for each other....and they are twenty-some young men who have the pride of the school and its supporters and my utmost respect. There were tears tonight, but when the sting wears off and the gear is returned and you reflect back on today, remember that what you walk away with is worth far more than a ring. the friendships, the discipline, and the knowledge that in those times in your life when youve been counted out before you begin, you have the power to do so much more than anyone thinks you can do. Hold your heads high tonight, and every day, Crusaders! We are proud of you!
