hen it’s a Struggle to Love “This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.” John 15:12 (NKJV) Grace is God’s divine influence upon our heart and it’s reflection in our lives. How can you love the unlovable? How can you truly, totally, forgive someone from the heart? Why do you plead for God to help you love him or her? Why do you beg for the strength to do what He has told you to do as if grace was in short supply? As the air we breathe and the water we drink is an abundant resource in the earth, so is the grace of God. It is truly inexhaustible! However, it comes not through pleading. Not through begging, but through a divine experience with the love and forgiveness of God in your own heart. Remember, we are to love others as Christ has loved us. The only way you will ever find the strength to love others is when you receive God’s love for you. Prayer: Father, my begging and pleading days are over. I receive Your love for me. I receive Your forgiveness in my life. Thank You that every sin I committed against You has been washed away. Thank You for the clean slate. Now that I am filled with love and appreciation, I thank You that I am now able to give this love away to others. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
