here are som stats from the Kokoda challenge people "Some stats from The Gold Coast Kokoda Challenge for you (thanks to David our Event Coordinator). 2183 starters with 1749 competitors completing the event. 26.5% of people didn’t make it to the finish line this year which is better than last year when 29% of people did not complete the course. 57 teams withdrew completely. Of the 310 teams who started the 96km event only 125 teams finished with a full team of four. Highest withdraw rate was at CP12 with 72 people, followed by CP10 with 70, CP8 with 65 and CP6 with 63. Youngest competitors in JS Cup 13yrs Oldest competitor in 96km – we had two 65 yr olds – one was the last team across the line. In 96 km event:- Biggest percentage age group were competitors in their 30’s at 32% followed by 40’s at 30%." so this means our team kicked bum!!
