hey guys sorry to keep you hangen on news from Melbourne but been a bit tierd past couple of days but im gkad to say that everything is looking good I get the results of my ecko in a couple of weeks but the professor was really happy with how things are going and she would be very surprised if there was something wrong as im feeling well and getting more active she said the operation went as good as it could abd the preform this type of surgery for people waiting on the heart transplant list to give more time and in fact a few patients have been able to come off the transplant list as this surgery has keept them going ok and with my surgery it could last up to 20 years with out any problems but from there there isnt much they could do but to offer a transplant but hey thats a lot more years then I could ever wish for so if I make it to somewhere close to that I would be pretty happy lol plus we dont no what they will be able todo in 20 years time hopefully they will be able to pull a heart off the shelf lol but as we find out this surgery is your last kinda chance for a bit more time as we no that a lot of people never receive a new heart and pass well before one come available so this was my last option and having a chance to watch my kids grow but i do have a bit of heart damage and a degree of heart failure but thats to be expected so all good news and to not wip my self so much in not exercising just yet as it takes a good 12months to start feeling the results so the plan from hear is to hopfuly come off the warfiran so I need to have a 24 hours heart monitor on in a couple of weeks then if that all looks good ill be able to come off that im also down to half of each of my fluid pills now and the fluid gain I get over time should get better as my heart gets stronger but also the shunt gives you that build up of pressure in my neck and stomach so just something I have to get used to so my ecko results should be good and from there I can start to go on living and try to get back to my old self this surgery has changed me a lot this time I still isolated my self a lot when I can I find it hard being in crowded places and I have lost a lot of confidence in my self im guessing its all because its been a crazy 12months where I didnt want to leave my children and wife and just wanted to be around family as I thought the worse and I just got used to it but I am getting there slowly but I will make my self to get were I used to be before all this it just takes time I guess I hope you are all well and god bless cheers Patey
