hi guys, this is an article I wrote a few years ago. wanted to share it with you. Making Peace with cancer versus The “War on cancer” In 1970, the American people made clear their desire for a cure for the second-leading cause of death in the United States. President Nixon responded during his January 1971 State of the Union address: “I will also ask for an appropriation of an extra $100 million to launch an intensive campaign to find a cure for cancer, and I will ask later for whatever additional funds can effectively be used.” On December 23, 1971, President Nixon followed through on his promise as he signed the National Cancer Act into law, declaring, “I hope in the years ahead we will look back on this action today as the most significant action taken during my Administration. It is sad to admit but, after almost 40 years since Nixon’s signed the National Cancer Act, the war on cancer failed. The approach today in medicine is to treat it as a war. We use three war tactics to treat the disease, poison it, nuke it, or cut it out. Since the numbers of cancer cases every year are staggering we have to ask if the model we are working with is sound. Are we willing to continue with the current model knowing it is not effective, seeing there is no change with number of new cases, no improvement with the treatments and their horrific effect on patients, and no solution in site? I am wondering if it is time we looked elsewhere. I am wondering if we should have a more holistic approach and sign a peace accord with cancer. It is time we stopped fighting the disease and started helping people to heal their body, their heart and their spirit in a way where the result is the disappearance of the disease altogether. For thousands of years the Chinese treated the person wholesomely, the body, the mind, and the spirit. In many cases a major component of the disease is psycho-emotional. Focusing on the cancer doesn’t do it. The statistics prove it. The way to approach this is to help people understand the underlying cause of the disease and give them a choice that may better their health and life. To be more specific in Chinese medicine when they look at lung cancer the emotions involved are, grief, loss, disappointment, shame and guilt. When looking at these emotions in a person with cancer they are at the level where the patient loses their flame, their passion for life and choke the life force out of the patient’s energetic body. As the level of energy declines in the body the defense mechanism decreases and the susceptibility to cell mutation increases. As the process continues and the levels increase the result is a major disease. To give an example, I was treating a young woman with breast cancer. She was diagnosed with breast cancer approximately a year after she had to abort her pregnancy since she was told the baby is deformed. She got pregnant after trying for a long time, and that was her biggest dream, to be a mom. When all this occurred it broke her heart and created a deep sense of guilt, anger, grief, and unworthiness, which are the main emotions, according to Chines Medicine that involve the creation of breast cancer. To be clear, she was under the care of a brilliant oncologist that was okay with the patient’s wish to explore natural medicine. As we worked together she was able to release all the emotions mentioned above, transforming anger, grief, shame, guilt, hate, and unworthiness into love, compassion, inner peace, forgiveness, and deep desire, passion for life. At one point her doctors recommended for her to go through with the surgery, since there was still some shadows on the scans. When she asked for my opinion I said that she already cleared the patterns that brought the cancer about and what the scans are showing is scar tissue. She went back and forth and finally decided to go through mastectomy. A few days later she received the report from her doctor that the breast tissue was clear from any cancer cells. One of my Medical Qigong teachers, Dr. Jerry Alan Johnson, was treating a patient with brain tumor. He was able to dissolve the tumor after a few weeks, which got confirmed by scans. After a few months the tumor grew back. This phenomenon repeated itself for a while with different patients until he decided to go to China and find out what was it that he missing. As he explained to one of the doctors the phenomenon he replied to him that he is treating the tumor similar to allopathic medicine, which is cutting out the buds from a tree but ignoring completely the roots. He then went on to learn how to treat the emotions and help patients release them. The results were that his patients got better and stayed better. Some may think this all is nonsense and too flowery, and if so this article is not for you. However, if you feel there is something else and you are not sure what it is, don’t stop. Know that there are many ways for you to heal. Are you willing to deal with your emotions? Are you willing to let go of the patterns that created sickness for you?I believe that if we want to bring a cure to cancer, we need to learn to make peace. Peace with ourselves, peace with our families, and peace with the world. We need to shed all negativity, anger, hate, separation, fear, and grief and shift into love, peace, forgiveness, compassion, and unity. We need to participate in the creation rather than destruction of relationships. As we shift our model, our approach to life and we resolve deep-seated unresolved emotion we will create a new framework to health and healing. We can reverse this disease we can heal this disease and we can reduce the number of victims to this disease. I believe we can heal ourselves as well as our families, our nation and the world. God bless, Dr. Isaac Goren DMQ (China) M.Ac.tao-house
