hi iam eric hyde my grand parents on my mothers side of the family homesteaded here in anchorage in 1915 . sorry this will be a little history that iam wondering about. my grandfather was charles henry holmes his wife was dorthia holmes. there was the holmes apartment at is now city hall. what i remember from my mother is that my grandfather worked for the core of army engineers. and designd and built every bridge on the alaska railroad. i have letters and stuff dateing back to early anchorage i dont know what to do with . the centetial i have history at my house that i dont no what to do with.
