ANTICIPATED SALARY RANGE: MINIMUM $12.32/HR MIDPOINT $17.56/HR HOURS: 20/Hrs per Week CAMPUS: Barton GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES In this challenging role, you will support the Student Housing department at Greenville Technical College. Duties may include any or all of the following: The Resident Director will be a graduate assistant, pursuing his or her Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration or a related field at a local university. The Resident Director will be a line-in position at Greenville Tech Foundation Student Housing. This position will supervise 12 resident assistants, be responsible for crisis and emergency response, student staff development and training, programming and overall development of residents in Student Housing. - Train and supervise 12 part-time resident assistants, conduct weekly staff meetings and in-service sessions, responsible for hiring, training, and terminating resident assistants - Respond to crisis and emergencies, conduct crisis intervention, confront disciplinary and emergency situations, as needed, including after-hours. - Conduct student conduct hearings - Provide support for check-in and check-out processes - Supervise resident assistant programming and implement community-wide programs as needed - Advise Residence hall Association - Assists with facilities walk-troughs and inspections as needed As a graduate assistantship position, the candidate will be enrolled in a Master’s program, pursuing a degree in Higher Education Administration or a related field. An on-campus apartment will be provided for this position. A monthly stipend will be paid and tuition will be paid for graduate program at local (in-state) university to pursue Master’s degree (as outlined previously).
