https://youtube/watch?v=19q_z9plYD0 Has anyone watched this series? Its very interesting! It is based in Australia on Paramedic students fresh out of college and their first experience on-car. In this episode, one student experiences their first car crash, and one their first deceased patient (the patient had already been deceased prior to her and her preceptor arriving). At this Paramedic Academy in Australia students only have 8 weeks of in-class and then 3-4 years of on-car experience before they become a full-fledged PCP. Very different than in Canada, thats for sure! I thought to myself: Wow, only 8 weeks of in-class training before theyre out in the real world...and some students dont have any kind of A&P background whatsoever. Personally 8 weeks doesnt seem like enough time to grasp the important concepts and base knowledge prior to going out and having real experience. What do you guys think?
