https://youtube/watch?v=7UMJoCezcAg This is an emotionally convincing video. I certainly appreciate the spirit of what they are saying. Still, as long as we ignore the root problem, we will forever be combating inflation. The minimum wage will forever be not quite enough, as inflation causes our money to lose value over time. The Root Problem: Usury! Our monetary system is broken. Every time we borrow money (at interest) into the system (from the privately-owned banks that have controlled our money since 1913), we decrease the overall value of each dollar. We call it inflation. The constitution forbids this practice (Article 1, Sec. 8, Clause 5). According to clause 2, congress can borrow money, but the issuance of money is still to be done by congress. Otherwise it is mathematically impossible to pay it back. And considering that this video appeals to Christians, the Bible also forbids this practice. (Ex. 22:25, Deut. 23:19-20, Ezekiel 18:13, Ezekiel 22:12, Luke 6:35, Proverbs 22:7, Psalm 15:5, and the list goes on…) Its like a dog chasing its tail, or filling up a sieve, it is futile. No matter how you vote, it will not solve the root problem. QUOTES OF INTEREST ;) Paper money eventually returns to its intrinsic value - zero. - Voltaire [François Marie Arouet] (1694-1778) Paper money has had the effect in your state that it will ever have, to ruin commerce, oppress the honest, and open the door to every species of fraud and injustice. - George Washington (1732-1799) Let me issue and control a nations money and I care not who writes the laws. - Mayer Amschel Rothschild, 1790 I wish it were possible to obtain a single amendment to our constitution taking from the Federal Government their power of borrowing. - Thomas Jefferson (1743-1826) When a government is dependent upon bankers for money, they and not the leaders of the government control the situation, since the hand that gives is above the hand that takes. Money has no motherland; financiers are without patriotism and without decency; their sole object is gain. -Napoleon Bonaparte (1769-1821)
