After the singers had returned to America, Paul wrote a song about Kathy. It was not clear whether Emily that appeared in Pauls another song For Emily... was actually a pseudonym of Kathy, for the two songs were composed about the same period of time. While Paul Simon has denied the identity of Emily, it is known that Kathy (or Kathleen) is a real person who is still alive and currently living in England.
