She just stepped into the race in place of John Walsh, the Democrat candidate who had to step down amid a plagiarism scandal. On August 22 the Tea Party Express posted a compilation of Curtiss statements that include laughing at gun owners who stress the importance of having a gun for self defense. She does this by telling stories about walking home in the dark, through parking lots and everything, without a gun. She looks into the camera, feigning surprise, and says, Im glad I made it.
