There was room in the Ark for them i.e. the known population then ,but stubbornness ,fear and doubt kept them from entering in, as we have today , God is preparing a place for us and in the meantime we live out our lives anticipating in our day of departure based on obedience and love of His ways in thought, word and deed. I am sure it hurts the heart of God to see mankind perish and so this is paramount and should be in our preaching of salvation that Gods intention is that all of mankind is saved as He is not willing that anyone should perish. That being said; The Deluge the Flood was not caused by God but was in the works based on mans fear of God and so John penned in Revelation 6:16 They called to the mountains and the rocks, Fall on us and hide us from the face of him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb! ; They cried out that the rocks would cover them at the Appearing of the Lord and because of the tumult that is occurring on the earth. Time for us to change our manner of speaking so that others too can understand and be saved by our preaching.
