https://youtube/watch?v=hVHMHf7ue18 And on seeing the empty tomb, I can think of one or two thoughts that the disciples would have entertained. The first one they would go to would be grave robbers, but there is a second that maybe a few of them might have thought (and the Gospel of John says that John did think this). Lets look at what John 20:8-9 says. Then the other disciple (John), who had reached the tomb first, also went in, and he saw and believed; for as yet they did not understand the Scripture, that he must rise from the dead. If John did not understand what it meant for Jesus to rise from the dead, what exactly would he have believed? Probably that Jesus was assumed into Heaven like a ghost (more like an angel, see Acts 12:1-19, focusing on v. 15 to see what this would look like). But given the veiled nature of Jesus passion predictions, the furthest thing from their radar would have been that Jesus would actually be raised from the dead bodily. An assumption into Heaven would mean that Jesus was dead, not alive again.
