https://youtube/watch?v=qdbCNXMRHmo Its kind of sad, actually. Ive never watched the original Gravity Falls, nor do I intend to, but I love this video JUST BECAUSE its animated in anime style. Ive become so used to anime that my eyes and mind are unconsciously trained to respond positively to anime-style things just because theyre in that style. That doesnt mean that Ill like ANY anime thing of course, if its shit its still shit regardless, but it does make me more likely to like it. Now I have a bit more of a defence than most English-speakers do in this regard because I *grew up* with anime. Some of my earliest memories are of watching things like Doraemon. I had several Doraemon manga and various Doraemon-related goods, which included stickers that I stuck on all my favourite possessions. And yes, I love dorayakis even to this day. Still, it makes me a little bit concerned: does my complete lack of interest in Gravity Falls *despite me enjoying this video* make me... I dunno, a little narrow-minded? If I like this, will I like Gravity Falls even though its animated in a more Western style? I might watch a few episodes later to see if it sticks. Iunno. Would you guys say its fun?
