Judges 4:7…”And I will draw unto thee to the river Kishon Sisera, the captain of Jabin’s army, with his chariots and his multitude; and I will deliver him into thine hand.” “RUN! RUN YOU DAMNED FOOLS, THEY’RE GOING TO KILL US ALL!” A Union soldier screamed as he passed the throngs of idiots from the Congress and Washington D.C. who came to watch their glorious army defeat the backward rebels. Now the collapsing Union army was in full retreat from Manassas Virginia with the Army of Virginia right on their heels. Bull Run had become the first of a series of horrific Union disasters and had the South pressed her advantage that day, the war might have been swiftly ended on her terms. The United States as a nation would not face a foe of such fearsome nature as the Confederate, or “Johnny Reb” until the Japanese in the Pacific Theater. He didn’t have the technological or industrial advantages of the Northern soldier but what he lacked in physical equipment, he made up for in Christian bravery. As I stated before, the Union soldier joined and fought more for the money than for the cause. Few Union troopers were willing to really die for cash but the Southerner was ready, willing and able to die for God, State, Town, Village, farm, Wife, child and family. His discipline backed up by the wholesome and untainted words of God and by splendid and excellent officers of command who shared the same beloved words of God. Union units were more likely to fold early in the conflict than Southern units because of their poor discipline and pathetic leadership. With secession, the South took the cream of the U.S. Army’s experienced officers and the results showed in the horrific casualties experienced at Bull Run, Antietam, Shiloh, 2nd Bull Run, Fredericksburg and on into the conflict. There were exceptions like the famed Irish Brigade and the 54th Massachusetts, the former made of deep Orthodox Catholics and Protestants, the later almost all Southern educated Presbyterians. Their iron faiths contributing to their spectacular bravery in combat. But the Southern soldier was dangerous, so brave in the face of death and so fearsome in fight that even after Gettysburg the Union commander refused to give chase believing “Old Bobby Lee” (General Lee, Army of Northern Virginia) would rip his men to shreds. Had the Union not had the advantages of its industrial power, technological development and skillful use of its Navy and railroads, It’s defeat would have come down to shear slaughter of its ranks. By July 1863, the Union ranks had been so shattered that President Lincoln had to call the first conscription draft in American history and that draft caused bloody riots all over the North. The great slaughter of course was extolled by godless Unitarians like Julia Ward Howe who got the song “Battle Hymn of the Republic” by demonic “spirit writing”. This is not a Christian song, it is a demonic song written to glorify the Union Army as an Aphis, Exodus 32 golden calf of Unitarianism that would murder the children of Christ in the backward Christian South. But defeat was inevitable more so because the South was absolutely destitute from the start of the war. All of the national gold stock of the United States before the war was held by Northern bankers and it was these Unitarians who financed the war of murder in order to destroy the Christian faith that had been blocking their dreams of satanic utopian expansion by an all powerful, all controlling, God hating central state of their crafting. By 1865, the Union had chocked the South into surrender and was about to unleash their version of the French Revolution that would carry America into the pit of Godless hell it has become today.
