i guess this is a spoiler for that episode of doctor who so im gonna put it under a load of dots so you cant see it if you havent seen the episode yet . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . i liked that episode in general but what bugged me about it was that were supposed to be invested in this Clara/Danny relationship thing but??? they skipped over the parts when they showed actual chemistry??? like the start of their date was awkward then they skipped to them laughing at a joke we didnt get to hear, then it was awkward again, and it just followed that pattern, with us barely ever getting to see their relationship working id rather be shown a functional and happy relationship than be shown two awkward people who dont get along and get told theyre happy together its the difference between harry potter and ginny weasley in the books versus the movies------ in the books they have chemistry and they work and its great to read about, which is what Danny and Clara SHOULD be if were being told their relationship has a future, but in the movies they can hardly share a scene together without it being almost painful to watch because its just all second-hand embarrassment
