...i hate my boy goose! hes been an wicked jerk as of late, (well, being a typical male goose, while the girl is sitting on eggs!) attacking me everytime i go in the pen!... i have taken to putting a plastic pail on his head when he tries to bite me, which of course leads me to fits of giggles (its pretty funny, when it finally falls off his head...boy does he let that pail know who is boss! lol....) but today, i was changing their pool water...the plug / drain goes so slow, so i was bailing it (with same/said pail) so i dont know if he was maddest at me or holding a grudge against that pail?...but, i happen to glance up (while being hell bent on bailing buckets of poopy goose water) ....and he is FLYING to get me! his beak like an arrow!....up and over the pool, FAST speed!....BAM! right into my bent over head/upper torso...he landed, and came at me like a rabid goose! .....i had to catch him, hold his neck and wrap my arms around his beating wings, while he was pecking me hard! i moved my hand to where he couldnt get me, still trying to holding him.....and he was so mad he continued to peck himself, where he thought my hand was. and he pulled his own feathers out! .....(he went in the barn/inside pen for a time out!) ....later in the day, tempers calmed....all was well when i found all 3 of them down in the lower field frollicking in the shallow stream....they saw me and started heading back up to the barn with only friendly honks...so long story short? im getting a different color bucket. LOL....
