i have successfully avoided Hobby Lobby since they came to my area a few years ago except for two little quick pop ins for something specific I needed fast. today my beloved took me on a field trip (his idea) after my hair appt and we explored every single isle and touched and cooed over many fun goodies. we had a great time together and explored a lot of hobby supplies and tools which i love. despite a million decor things for 50% off i left with only leather laces for my new moccasins i won on ebay and 2 vintage inspired knobs for my bathroom cupboards. (OMG the knob selection was awesome!!) I really realized that my seek for simplicity i claimed the middle of 2012 and all last year has become stronger than my need for more things. i look around my eclectic house full of all colors, textures and patterns and everything i have out means something to me, i have nothing trendy or glamorous, only unique and precious. handmade by other artists or gifted from friends, family and children or made by me. creating my home all these years has been such a pleasure to me and i love that my family loves our quirky home. We decided we will venture to hobby lobby for fun field trip dates about every 6 months.
