i just got back from my meeting. i am feeling confident in my recovery. when i walk in i ask my daughter to clean up her room and log off the computer. her reply is yelling at me.today i react differently. she tries to get thru to me by saying mean things. ashlee is wanting a tattoo. i said absolutely not! she exploded on me and says she is getting it anyway. she does have several piercings i dont really mind them because they come out. saying no to ashlee is now incorparated in my program of recovery. parenting teens is a challenge,but doing parenting clean and sober is exausting at times. my goal is to follow thru on what i tell her. she never heard no before because i was parenting out of guilt. any one who has some feedback on this subject on tattooing and being 15???
