i like charles. i admire charles. he is very articulate, frank and honest. he says whats on his mind. and this is a very profound statement that he made. so i just want to address a very narrow angle of his statement. what do you think is the percentage of college athletes who made it big in professional sports in the likes of charles barkley, michael jordan, larry bird, and others? and let me expand this to all college students, including drop-outs, and what do you think is the percentage of those who made it big like bill gates and mark zuckerberg? honestly, that has to be a very low number. now, what do you think is the percentage of all these college students, minus those who would die young for whatever reason, who are going to grow old? it is safe to say that that would be 100%. then, compare those percentages. and lastly, imagine that social security and medicare dont exist. now, tell me, what would you think is the percentage of the poor in america be in that scenario? the republican congress voted to repeal obamacare 55 times without offering any viable alternative. paul ryans budget guts our social safety net. and the supreme court ruled that money is free speech. unlike charles, i dont make money talking. and the percentage of the people making a lot of money talking relative to the general population is also very low. my odds are probably better if i just play the lottery, itll be nice to see the republicans formula in eliminating poverty because calling the poor names is definitely not working . . .
