i take personal exception to bullying..... i was an admirer of NYCs guardian angels and curtis silwa......in high school... i formed my own group...... this was in 1980. DECADES before anti-bullying rules came about in schools. in 1982, with the release the clashs combat rock..... i asked a teacher friend of mine to buy BDU tops for us. we had 10 tops...... 8 males and 2 females. we called ourselves..... THE SLEEPING DRAGONS.... and in 1983 had the first admitted full out lesbo in our school join our group. (she came from some yankee state) one of my boys came up with...... if you know whats best, let sleeping dragon rest... that became our motto. and so.. at one point.......we were 10 kids..... my younger brother and i trained in kung fu and judo...... a couple guys trained in tae kwon do..... and one in shotokan karate......... and when there was a fight........ there was 2-3..... to 10 BDU tops in the middle of it all. i sometimes forget about my people..... black/white........ male/female...... one special ed guy (deaf)..... a straight up lesbo....... but something will spark that remembrance. we were pretty awesome.
