i was his supporter for a long time, from the very early times, as he is an honest man and i still think he is honest (appreciate his stances in many issues), but i dont subscribe to most of his political tactics anymore, his soft stand on taking on the militants (scaring us from the military operations for a long time), approving of the CJ for a long time, praising CECs neutrality, appearing in Geo innumerable times when valuable prime time was given to cover their electoral campaigns etc but the moment he loses, he loses his mind too blaming each and every one of them, such big U-turns. And also, look at his stance against Geo, he turns against them precisely the moment when Geo is in trouble against the ISI, stink of opportunism? He could very well have been fighting (with out support) and come out on the roads even if the courts were not providing him justice to force the Government bring electoral reforms and stop any chances of rigging in future. But then he went overboard, resignation of the Government, we wont enter the red zone, we will enter the red zone, we will accept a Judicial inquiry on rigging, no we wont accept it and so many other U turns. Politics of agitation and not letting the government complete its 5 years tenure is not a good omen for the future as well. He has got power in Kpk, can transform it and show it as model at the end of 5 years term, prove it thats its not about rosy promises but he can bring the change in actuality, in areas where it matters the most. He has to accept the fact and make it realize to masses as well that things dont change overnight and we have to be prepared for a painfully long journey, while striving for the best, there are no shortcuts to the solutions of our problems as they are hell complex. Selling dreams to the gullible masses is an easy thing to do shouting popular slogans, but delivering them those promises, never is. I agree, i like the fact too that our masses are politically becoming more aware, it is a good sign, we dont have to let ourselves to be taken for granted anymore. But politics based on very intolerance, name calling, blame games simply a sheer absence of decency is shameful too. Look at the kind of language he talks, his speeches should be declared as something unsuitable for the minors. IK and his supporters can term their political opponents from anything to everything but the moment you merely criticize his stances, they go rabid, which is so unfortunate to say the least, considering they are much educated as compared to others As far as PML N is concerned, they are corrupt, incompetent and all, no two opinions about that, so discussing them here is useless, however his right to complete his term has to be defended, i would defend it for any other person as well for that matter. written by Zeeshan Nasir
