if you are a tradesperson who puts yourself out to the public as someone to call when a homeowner needs your services i feel it is adequate to wait a couple of business days for a return phone call. after that, i assume you: 1. have gone out of business, 2: have been kidnapped by terrorists, 3. are not professional enough to understand that communication is the most important part of any business, regardless of how skilled you may be at your craft. Once i have waited two business days for a return call, I move on to the next people on my list who represent themselves as purveyors of what i need. skill is important but communication is much more important if you are really interested in growing a business. - this free consultation has been provided by a former business owner who always called clients back within one hour of receiving a message and who picked up to answer all my calls at virtually all hours of the day.
