if you are going to invade other species home to share with you, - TopicsExpress

if you are going to invade other species home to share with you, one should at least have courtesy enough to not intentionally kill it. e.g. i once knew someone who said they recently saw a turtle in a road which likely fell down a curb while exploring a hill outside of its pond. the person said the curb stretched for miles and too tall for the turtle to climb, and the turtle was trying to climb back up to get back into the pond struggling in a panic state, but the top laid out of reach. he said he just left the turtle in the street to fend for itself baking in the hot sun to dehydrate or be ran over (being he knew the turtle was too small to climb back over the curb) for it to beable to go back down the hill to the pond. unlikely did he know, by not engaging in acts of mutual aid of his cousin species (see, Last Universal common ancestor of all life on earth 3.5-3.8 billion years ago) by acting sociopathic he is providing his own suicidal demise. [2]If we recognise that every ecosystem can also be viewed as a food web, we can think of it as a circular, interlacing nexus of plant animal relationships (rather than a stratified pyramid with man at the apex)... Each species, be it a form of bacteria or deer, is knitted together in a network of interdependence, however indirect the links may be. – Bookchin, The Ecology of Freedom (1982)
