if you think that Satanism was started by Anton Szandor LaVey, then you are not a real Satanist.. as a matter of fact, if you think that the first (notice i said first) Satanism was an atheistic belief, then you are not a real Satanist. most importantly, if you think Satanism involves worshipping the christian Satan, then you are just the dumbest person ever and need to do research on things before you hate on it! XD True satanism started as a VERY theistic religious view, that dates back to ancient Greece and beyond, and its the worshipping of yourself, a belief that you (and sub-sequentially all humans) are the most powerful being(s) in all of creation.. LaVey (a great man in his own right) simply sujjested that all theterms from Satanism might just be metaphors and higher powers not actually exist.. stupid people who had been sheltered from non-mainstream religion thought that this was a new religion and thought he was the founder.. and worse than that, mainstream religions belive that since its called Satanism, that Satanist worship satan, well Satanist do worship satan, well they do, you a human, are a satan.. yes there can be more than one satan, a satan, is a title, for one who would rebel.. rebel against government, rebel against the pantheon of gods, rebel against taxes, if you have ever rebelled against something, or fought against something, you were a satan to that thing... Theistic Satanist, belive in Lucifer, Prometheus, and Cuthulu.. these 3 beings are all Satans.. Satanist do not worship these beings, but reather look up to them and try to be like them, they try to rebel and follow in the footsteps of those beings..
