im done. 4 days and several thousand cookies later. italian filled, jelly butter blossoms (blackberry and mangopineapple), gluten free peanut butter blossoms and regular, chocolate blossoms with andes mints, 3 different kinds of biscotti; cherry almond, dipped in chocolate chocolate fig which are incredible, pistachio anise with a chocolate drizzle (from your recipe denise), angeliques, pignoli, coconut macaroons, sugar cookies with cherries, butterballs with a hersheys kiss inside, and rummy fruitcake balls. pop pop still has to make his pizzelles. my dads old mixer broke (finally) so i brought out the big guns. that made a huge difference. he didnt make too many mistakes. missed the jelly on one jelly blossom, usually he misses one per tray. i have to watch him like a hawk. at one point he turned the biscotti over, forgot, then turned them again. my mom, the backseat baker, was yelling at him from her recliner. the oven is messed up though. burned everything on the right side before half the tray was even cooked. that meant a lot of moving trays around. i think i need to find an apprentice for next year. my dad is too old to keep this up.
