im excited about a breeding i just completed w/ my S/P Andalusian mare Tar-Amorosa and S/P stallion Orofino.im curious if its inevitable when breeding a grey mare to a creamy dunskin-buckskin that ill have a grey foal?Orofinos grandfather is Shapiro who is a cremello and his father Solero is said to be a dun. my mare is a grey and her sire is Despierto a total black.as well Orofinos dam is black,so the grey gene comes only from the dam to my mare,,here is a picture of Orofino-ill ask to see if they have done color testing on him,but im curious what color people say he is and what color my resulting foal could be.would it carry the dilution gene but not express it?since i dont think my mare has it in her pedigree.I see Orofino has a dun line. and here is a link to his fathers site so people might determine if he is a dun .does that mean there is a good chance the foal could get the dun gene? as well here is a link to both pedigrees onespiritranch/solorostallion.html allbreedpedigree/orofino9 allbreedpedigree/tar-amorosa their pedigrees fit together amazingly! thanks in advance for your knowledge sharing- the grey is my mare Tar Amorosa and next is her father Despierto/ this is going to be one amazing foal and will be for sale if it is a male
