in one of my recent morning pages a conversation began to unfold with the major players in my own personality, something akin to the conversations within that Julia Cameron (The Artist Way) has spoken about. My young artist was very excited about a new quilting project and just seemed to synchronistically be connecting with other quilters trying new techniques as well...I named her Molly, and let her speak her piece on the page...she really found and expressed her voice. It was lovely. Then there was Regina (Reggie the boss). She is in charge of all things practical and businesslike. A very essential player in my daily life. She basically runs the show. And finally there is Mary, whose only concern is being Gods daughter and accomplishing Heavens will in all that we think, day and do. This was extremely enlightening for me, and I began to see that when these 3 girls harmonized within me, life worked. When one overran the others, life got pretty choppy. Interesting.
