“……in the presence of the LORD your God, you and your families shall eat and shall rejoice in everything you have put your hand to, because the LORD your God has blessed you.” Deuteronomy 12:7. If someone gave you a gift, would you open it or leave it sitting on a shelf unopened? The answer is obvious. We would open it and see what’s inside. God has many blessings and miracles for us daily if we’ll believe AND receive them. Too many Christians talk themselves out of these gifts by either feeling unworthy to receive them or that God doesn’t perform miracles as in the days of the bible. Guess what? God isn’t retired! He is still a miracle working God who loves us! What He did in Bible days, He is still doing today! Our problem is we tend to talk ourselves out of receiving God’s blessings. Jesus said, “Ask and you WILL receive, and your joy will be complete.” John 16:24. Jesus stands at our heart’s door knocking. Our job is to believe and open the door to receive (Faith). Let’s give thanks with a grateful heart to our Heavenly Father. His plans are to prosper and bless us. Rejoicing over God’s goodness creates a joy inside our hearts, which becomes strength to fight the enemy who so desperately wants to steal our joy. No, a doom and gloom attitude isn’t from God. “The Lord has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy.” Psalm 126:3. Let’s conquer this day with the “joy of the Lord” and not allow Satan to steal our joy. Remember JOY is a weapon to fight him. Begin thanking God for what He has already done, is presently doing, and by faith, what He is going to do in our lives! JOY….great medicine!!!
