in this part of study we are going to deal with issues to with Satan and demons. it has to be noted that the name Satan is just a descriptive name depicting the character and nature of the Angel in question. though the Bible does not precisely tell us when God created the Angels but critical study leads one to deduce that they were created before man was! the angels are the hosts of Heaven and among them before sin surfaced was Lucifer who was the cherubim- the covering Angel. he was of the rank of an arch Angel. his main duty was to lead other angels in the praise and worship of God. his proximity to the throne room of God aroused in him the envy against God and started scheming to over throw God and be the very object of worship of all other intelligible beings! see Isaiah14, Ezekiel 28. he was ousted from heaven after he rebelled and even led other angels to rebel against God. it is stated that 1/3 of the heavenly hosts fell to the deceptive schemes of the Devil. some fallen angels were chained as to restrict their movement an operation which was aimed at destroying the creation of God! Jude 1 others were left loose to roam about and these may be the very ones that pass for Demons. the term demons connotes lying or deceptive spirits! they are bent to promoting the agenda of Satan in the affairs of mankind! demons have varying ranks with in them but all being led by the chief adversary the devil. they are spirits in nature by can inhabit a material object. they have spheres of dominion to which they are assigned to operate in the government lay out of the devil. they are not present every where thus they are not like God who is omnipresent.
