interesting Ted Bundy story: my pops was working in Aspen when Bundy escaped. in other words, Bundy was in the "area." I was very young at the time, but I remember my folks talking about it. I just spoke to my brother about it, and he remembers my folks discussing it, too, years later. he made it 6 days in the mountains, before stealing a car and finally driving back into Aspen and getting caught. Bundy escaped a second time, as well. he took a bus into Denver, then boarded a flight to Chicago. talk about perseverance, huh? they ultimately caught up with him in Florida. as he was transported to jail, he told the arresting officer, ""I wish you had killed me."
