...it was brought to my attention by someone who was offended by a cartoon that I reposted that I was an insensitive being thinking it was okay or funny to joke about those that hear voices, continuing with maybe I had some cartoons about the blind or others that are disabled in some other way...my response was to remove the post and let that person know that I didnt feel that my responding with an apology or try to defend my character would do any good as the questions posed were given in a rhetorical sense and to reply would be senseless...I did my best to wish them well and didnt have to bother with unfriending them as they had already done so...my point to this ramble is this...if I offended anyone by the cartoon, I am humbly apologetic...my entire life I have had a heart for the handicapped, mental, physical or otherwise...when I volunteer they are my focus...I was a counselor for three years at Camp Warren in Michigan working with the areas handicapped youth...I have close, personal friends who have a multitude of issues, daily chronic pain, twisted limbs, TBIs and more...Ive lost people to these issues...I know the struggles and pains associated with people who hear voices, feel pain that most wouldnt be able to handle, live in a body that fights your every move...so I will finish by asking that if you are ever offended by my words or a post, let me know so that I may rectify it...those that do truly know me and love me know that I have a twisted sense of humor but would never purposefully set out to hurt someone or make fun of someone with a disability...thanks for your time...
