its starting to rain. its getting darker, hazier. leaves, branches swinging and swirling in harmony of the wind blowing stronger and whistling sad shrill sounds. what will happen in the next few hours is a dreadful expectation. no matter how everyone prepared and took safety precautions only the ONE above can cover us all in safety. i have just arrived from another round up of visiting evacuation centers in Poro and Tudela. the situation is the same in all e-centers. i am proud of the attitude of the island people. standing by and comforting each other in times like this. our biggest problem here is the isolation of the island from the rest of the world. basic needs like food ang gas will become scarce. prices of prime commodities will be up. can the gas generated power supplier outlast the storm period? how about the powerlines? we have no electricity now. no food, .no gas, no electricity and some place will have no water... this will be the scenario not to mention the damages after the storm. i may sound gloomy but like any islander that had braved many storms, we know we will survive yet another storm. OUR FAITH in GODS LOVE and MERCY is STRONGER THAN ANY STORM. for things we cannot control , we know that HE is always in control. HE works in ways we cannot see. It is in hardships that our prayers are most authentic so HE places us in awkward situations that we may be reminded that we should rely on Him all the time. Father God we ask you to look upon your people. make us see what we are and open our eyes of what we could be. at this time that we are in danger please still allow us to do your will in a way that pleases and honor you... may everything we have done today, lasts for eternity. In Jesus name, i pray. A m e n.
