ive been a news hound lately. i read MSM , alternative press, and oddball stuff. but i have not run acrossed much in the way of attempts to just talk to Syrian leaders about treaties or negotiations with the rebels. i only find stuff about violent interaction. and when it comes to violent interaction, most often than not the talk immediately turns to talk about Iran. it just seems so obvious the American Govt wants to take out Iran and that Syria is only a means to an ends. its just to depressing and emasculating to see this type of activity from our own govt. i was possibly one of the last generations that said the pledge of allegiance every day in school. i really believe in the principles of our country and i find it hard to reconcile those core beliefs of life, liberty, and justice with the 21st century notions of pre-emptive strikes and blatant govt lies that are only meant to enable "justified" resource-grabs from other nations that amount to nothing more than theft and the killing of innocent woman and children, and the benifit of corporations and CEOs. hopefully someday our politicians can be other than a merry-go-round of lobbyists and lawyers who are only in it for the money. what happened to all the principled people of the older generations? im sure corruption is nothing new and will continue to happen , yet it seems so wide spread in our govt.
