just did a story on Money Magazine voting Milpitas being the 29th best small city to live in in the country. median home price is just over half a milliion. how in the world can a young couple afford that kind of home prices?????? something is wrong. the salaries arent matching the quality of life here in the Bay Area. There are young couples making six figures who cant afford to buy a home here with that kind of salary. bidding is back like before the recession and cash transactions are the norm now ... both from the overseas asians and the tech millionaires. the median salary in Milpitas is a little over 100,000.... which is a lot. Most of the home owners i interviewed were baby boomers and older ... who bought their homes when it was affordable and boy did they appreciate!!!! something is wrong here.
