just recap: The dap evangelistas’ recruitment tactics are very good. They target the following: 1- Depressed, lonely, suicidal, vulnerable individuals, especially those with family problems. 2- The greedy – those who use the evangelical church as a networking place because there are quite a number of rich and influential “born-again” members. 3- The youngsters – those who have problems with their parents, , etc, and those who are easily duped into believing that it’s more trendy and hip to be a Christian than follow their parents’ Buddhist or Hindu religions. About 10 years ago, a good friend (actually, God-brother) of mine used to be very level-headed and approachable. Then he was subjected to major financial problems which included being sued in court and such and was generally very depressed. He was at his most vulnerable when his sister’s church approached him and recruited him.
