just to share: had a call earlier with someone that we always call terorista, then he asked me, Are you from the Philippines?. i responded with a simple yes. then he said (as far as I recall), All my respects to all of you. No one could have prepared for that. i almost broke a tear. sorry if it seems shallow, but, as cliche as it sounds, respect is something you earn. and for someone i hardly know, lest see, earning that kind of respect due to an unnecessary disaster doesnt feel as good as of your own doing. and to point out, it made my POV about what we call terorista change. we call them as what we see (in this case, hear) them. wed be no less than any discriminating idiot we all love to scrutinize. i dont want to be like that. i have a friend whose dad is still missing for 6 days now. i dont know how to comfort him, or help him find his dad, since hes also trying to help with his fellow Warays. i cannot imagine how difficult this is for him. so im exerting all possible efforts to get the word out there. of what is really out there. as much as possible. volunteering over the weekend is also on the works with some friends.
