The Volunteer Achievement Awards are hosted annually by Lancaster District Community and Voluntary Solutions (CVS) and it is the only event of its kind held in the District. It is an invaluable opportunity to celebrate the commitment of volunteers in our local community, as well as providing guests and nominees with the opportunity to meet and share their experiences. In recognising the dedication of others, we encourage them to continue their hard work and inspire others to become involved in community projects. The ceremony will be held in partnership with Lancaster City Council and the categories that volunteers can be nominated for are: •Volunteer of the Year •Young Volunteer of the Year •Trustee of the Year •Take Pride Active Citizenship Award •Certificate of Achievement for an individual volunteer •Certificate of Achievement for a group of volunteers The deadline for nominations is Friday 30th August 2013. Please note that there will be a contribution of £3 per person, this will include an evening buffet and Cream Scones and guests will pay on the door.
