last night ex-colleague meeting after 14 yrs... many stories..everyone trying to share, sometimes these ended in cross talks...hahaha...one ear for Ms A and another for Mr B...just like listening to radio when there is a cross line...catching all and catching some. I would like to share some Msian stories...told with gustos and truth be sworn tht these are real stories. 1. A lone lady friend rented a unit at the twin tower only to find that most units are bought but not occupied, so she became a lone ranger. To prove this, most units are not lit at night. One day she went into the balcony to water some plants and the door slammed and locked her in the high rise balcony. After 3 days in the open, she nearly died of dehydration, until some one on the ground noticed her and came to her rescue. Immediate she broke lease and moved out. 2. It was 7 pm, in a crowded restaurant, 2 couples sat near the window with one couple facing the outside. They saw parang wielding gang coming towards the restaurant. The couple quickly run in the opposite direction, but the robbers noticed them and gave chase while the rest meekly handed over their valuables to the other robbers. The couple then run in separate directions...and the lady as she ran, started to take out her necklace and threw on the ground hoping the robber would stop chasing, but no, they continued, she tried her watch, her handbag, and regretted running away from the scene. Finally, she managed to rid herself of them. 3. A landlord rented her house to some students, but one day some plumbing repair was needed. The plumber came to recce and told the landlord he will returned with the tools. On his second visit, only one of the students was there to wait for him to open the door. Immediately the plumber ordered her to go to the second floor with clear bad intentions, which she refused. She sat down and refused to move claiming medical problems. The plumber also sat to threaten her. Fortunately the door was open, she started screaming and the neighbor came to investigate, the plumber then ran away. so, stories after stories...many more, but these cannot be told with the same gustos of those present whose safety of friends or personal safety is at stake...but....all testifying to the security or lack of, in Msia. We then shifted to Iskandar. Advice is NEVER put yr money there...and this advice come from well heeled source... Your money you decide. Have a safe investment journey.
