last night in the dream, a kind of 1930s greco-arabian phantasy.. instead of flying carpets, flying bronze goat heads, tiled orientalist dungeons where lavish feasts came pouring out of reliefs within the cells, odalisques made of tiny genies linked together like army ants, strange prison slang poetry called graatoi which seemed to be some kind of rendering of a recent phrase in the Pynchon book, where Ziggy criticises an opera singers italian by saying it had too much swedish lilt.. the only word I recall is hare-licht which seemed to mean sparkle or grace + perversion.. perverse grace.. somehow in the flying goat head parts one dream figure had miniature bull-roarers attached to his very long beards, their different tones creating an aeolian harmony, etc.. there was also a transparent alabaster refridgerator with built in oil lamp reservoirs.. cold genies trapped inside luminous cypriote volcanic vases..
