last night some of my students started putting their index fingers up to the outside corners of their eyes and pulling (you know like your mother always told you not to do and like your teacher always told you is offensive) and saying look! and without thinking i just burst out CHINESE! and we all cracked up. A new teacher was observing our class and looked positively horrified. Then a kid randomly leaped up and bit my chest and, as i calmly extracted him and said (our target phrase for the week)dont eat that, the new teacher may or may not have looked ready to flee the country.... i might need to tweak the employee training process or at the very least involve a less spastic class.
