I attended the superfood talk last night, at IE Produce in Takapuna, and I just really wanted to say that I was totally moved by your story. I’m sure you hear it a lot, and I hope you hear it a lot, but I just couldn’t miss the opportunity to tell you. So here goes. I am not a parent, although there is autism in my family, so I don’t have first-hand experience at all – dealing with autism, or with being a parent. But I was so struck by your sincerity. And I have just read your novel on your site and felt compelled to tell you, as a total stranger, that your strength and perseverance and courage has made an impression on me. And not only that, but as I said, your sincerity, and genuine desire to help others move forward in their journey, was so evident. The first few sentences and I just thought – I like her. (I didn’t just think that, actually, I turned to my friend and said it with a huge sloppy grin on my face.) I think it is truly remarkable that you have come out the other side of the journey without bitterness or resentment, but instead, so extraordinary. :-)
