life in late 80s, I use to be like some of u today, i ve passion for worshiping the creator bt i was too blind to knw wht he wanted, then i use to called my dad so many names, i feel he dnt knw the bible, he use to take mum on a bicycle and travel many kilometre to worship God, every saturday, i wondered what was his stand, bt i never gave him a chance to educate me, i asked questions like wht is wrong with this churches around us? We ve cocin, ecwa, baptis, anglican and the mighty roman catholic, y didnt him chose one? must he suffer himself going this far to worship? Although i was nt bold enough then to ask him these questions, i only asked mysef and no answer was rendered to me. One day i beging to ask questions and i was ready for stomach nonsense, then i found out the truth dat the beneficent creator, after the six days of creation rested on the seventh day and institute the sabbath day for all people as a memorial of creation. The fourth commandment of Gods unchangeable law requires the observance of this seventh day sabbath as the day of rest, worship and ministry in harmony with the teaching practice of jesus, the lord of sabbath. The sabbath is a day of delightful communion with God and one another. It is a symbol of our redemption in christ a sign of our sanctification a token of our allegiance , and a foretaste of our eternal future in Gods kingdom. The sabbath is Gods perpetual sign of his eternal covenant between him and his people. Joyful observance of this holy time from evening to evening,sunset to sunset,is a celebration of Gods creative and redemptive ACT.
