livingwaters Seven Things you Might not Know About Jesus: 1. The first sermon Jesus preached in His home town was on the subject of racism. His hearers were deeply offended because He pointed out that God had blessed individuals outside of their own race (Luke 4:24-27). 2. He had four brothers and at least three sisters --“Is not this the carpenter’s Son? Is not His mother called Mary? And are not His brothers James and Joseph and Simon and Judas? And are not all his sisters with us? Where then did this man get all these things?” (Matthew 13:55-56, AMP). 3. He had a cousin who was brutally murdered (Luke 1:36). 4. Before He began His itinerant ministry, He was tempted to become a Satan-worshiper (Luke 4:7). 5. The hearers of His one of His first sermons tried to murder Him (Luke 4:28-29). 6. The Bible gives a description of His teeth (The scepter shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto him shall the gathering of the people be. Binding his foal unto the vine, and his asss colt unto the choice vine; he washed his garments in wine, and his clothes in the blood of grapes: His eyes shall be red with wine, and his teeth white with milk (Genesis 49:10-12). 7. The Scriptures even predicted some of the food He would eat (Isaiah 7:14-15).
