lowdosenaltrexone.org Wow! So I just wanted to share with everyone that I started LDN therapy for pain secondary to eds and it has been incredible! I seriously thing everyone should be on it lol. I have only been on it a few days so Im afraid to jinx myself but I know TONS of you suffer with excruciating pain as well so I wanted to get the word out on this. I went from a constant pain level of 7-10, while taking Tylenol 3 itd go down to a 6. It was awful and I felt like I was chasing my pain all day waiting to take my next dose of Tylenol 3, I was in pain I was stressed, it felt like my whole day revolved around my pain meds. I tried cortisone injections which did nothing but caused INCREDIBLY BAD muscle spasms in my back for 10 days straight...Im still healing from all that 4 months later! I got tired of the pain and messing around with these prn meds and I wanted to start a long acting med ...luckily my pain specialist recommended LDN therapy as there has been a lot of good results for eds patients with this. In order to take LDN you must be off all narcotic pain meds so I came off my Tylenol 3 and started the LDN a few days ago. I cant believe the difference it has made for me- you take 1/2 the dose for the first week then the full dose the week after- I havent even had a full dose yet and I feel better than I have in years. You dont feel fuzzy, there are little to no side effects and the result pain control wise is absolutely remarkable. When I take the LDN I feel like I didnt take anything except I am not in hardly any pain. Now my pain is at a 2-3 and sometimes even a 0... I feel like I did before I got pregnant with our son (when my EDS and IST started to really surface) I feel like myself again and its amazing.. I hope it continues to work for me and Im sure not everyone will have these results but I wanted to mention this to everyone here just in case it may help someone in their quest for adequate pain control. It has really been amazing so far and it doesnt even have its full effect for a few weeks. On top of the pain control it also helps to boost your immune system and has been used to treat AIDS patients because if this property and it has also helped with dysautonomia and other neurological issues it is even said to help with chronic fatigue, Alzheimers and autism. Its pretty awesome so far!!
